HYBRID HEAT PUMP FOR HOT WATER SUPPLY.

Author(s) : BERGMANN G., HIVESSY G.

Summary

A POULTRY SLAUGHTERHOUSE REQUIRES WASHING WATER AT 358 K (85 DEG C) OBTAINED BY A SINGLE-STAGE HEATPUMP DRIVEN BY AN ELECTRIC MOTOR. THE HEAT SOURCE IS WATER AT 298 K (25 DEG C) COOLED TO 278 K (5 DEG C). BECAUSE OF THE VERY WIDE TEMPERATURE RANGE, A COMPRESSION HEAT PUMP WITH A NON AZEOTROPIC MIXTURE IS USED. IN THE CYCLE PRESENTED, THE MIXTURE FLOWING FROM THE EVAPORATOR AS HUMID VAPOUR IS BROUGHT INTO AN INTERMEDIARY HEAT EXCHANGER FROM WHICH THE COMPRESSOR ALSO SUCKS HUMID VAPOUR (WET COMPRESSION). THE MIXTURE FROM THE CONDENSER ENTERS THE INTERMEDIARY HEAT EXCHANGER. THIS SOLUTION CONSIDERABLY INCREASES INTERNAL HEAT EXCHANGE, WHICH DECREASES THE PRESSURE RATIO AND IMPROVES EFFICIENCY.
