Summary
An ice-making system using cold winter air was developed to produce cooling capacity for fruit and vegetable postharvest handling. A control system for an ice making operation was developed based on a temperature integrator. The analysis also showed that the winter cold could be stored everywhere in Canada except for southern, and ocean bordered regions.
