Summary

Heat pumps using waste heat from a refrigerating plant as a heat source are especially advantageous for higher COP in comparison with other heat pump types due to a higher temperature level of the heat source. However, in heat pumps used for hot water preparation, an additional increase in COP can be achieved by measures described in the article.
