Summary

MEASURED VOLTAGE FROM THERMOELECTRIC THERMOMETERS DURING THERMOTECHNICAL MEASUREMENTS OF AIR COOLERS AND CONDENSING UNITS WAS MOSTLY ABOUT 2 MILLIV. WHEN MEASURING IN THE LOWEST RANGE OF THE DIGITAL VOLTMETER (100 MILLIV) THE ACCURACY AND SENSITIVITY OF MEASUREMENTS WAS INSUFFICIENT, SINCE A VARIATION OF 0.01 MILLIV CORRESPONDED TO APPROXIMATELY 0.25 K, HENCE A DIGITAL VOLTMETER HAVING THE LOWEST RANGE OF 10 MILLIV WAS USED INSTEAD. BOTH DIGITAL VOLTMETERS ARE CHARACTERIZED AND THE APPLICATION OF A VOLTMETER AUTORANGE AND A RANGE PROGRAMMING UNIT IS DESCRIBED.
