VAPOUR BUBBLE CONDENSATION IN SLIGHTLY SUBCOOLED PURE LIQUIDS.

Author(s) : AURACHER H., MAIER M.

Summary

THE COMPARISON OF THE EQUATIONS FOR THE CALCULATION OF VAPOUR BUBBLE CONDENSATION IN A SUBCOOLED LIQUID SHOWS CONSIDERABLE DISCREPANCY. A TEST STUDY WAS MADE WITH R11 AND R113 AND WITH ISOPROPANOL (C3H8O). THE AUTHORS DEVELOPED A CORRELATION BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT TEST RESULTS. AS GOVERNING QUANTITY FOR BUBBLE COLLAPSE, THEY FOUND A DIMENSIONLESS GROUP MADE UP OF JAKOB, FOURIER, REYNOLDS AND PRANDTL NUMBERS.
