VISCOSITY OF REFRIGERANT R22 AND MIXTURES OF R22-R114 AT HIGH PRESSURE.

Author(s) : NABIZADEH H., MAYINGER F.

Summary

MEASUREMENTS ARE PRESENTED OF R22 AND OF R22-R114 VISCOSITIES AT CONCENTRATIONS OF 25, 50 AND 75% IN R22. THE EXPERIMENTS WERE CARRIED OUT AT SUPERHEATED CONDITIONS AND IN THE SUPERCRITICAL REGION BETWEEN 303 AND 423 K (30 AND 150 DEG C) AND 0.1 TO 7.5 MEGAPASCALS. BELOW THE CRITICAL TEMPERATURE, THE VISCOSITY SHOWS AN ABNORMAL CHARACTERISTIC WHICH IS A REDUCTION IN THE VISCOSITY WHEN THE PRESSURE INCREASES. THE< INVERSION TEMPERATURE > WITH RESPECT TO THE CRITICAL TEMPERATURE IS 0.78, FOR THE REFRIGERANTS CONSIDERED. ABOVE THIS TEMPERATURE, THE EXCESS VISCOSITY OF THE PURE COMPONENTS AS WELL AS OF THE MIXTURES FOLLOWS A UNIQUE RELATION AS A FUNCTION OF THE REDUCED DENSITY.
