Water as a refrigerant in refrigeration plants with mechanical compression.

Author(s) : ALBRING P.

Summary

The paper deals with results of investigations with a small testing plant to observe details of evaporation and condensation of water under vacuum. The testing plant had a refrigerating capacity of 10 kilowatts at 0 deg C evaporationg temperature and 100 kilowatts at 40 deg C evaporating temperature. A current research programme is oriented toward a plant capacity of 500 kilowatts.
