EXERGY ANALYSIS OF A STANDARD REFRIGERATION CYCLE.

Summary

THE COMPUTER PACKAGE REFTHERMO WAS USED TO ANALYZE THE THERMODYNAMIC PERFORMANCE OF A REFRIGERATION PLANT FOLLOWING THE PRINCIPLE OF A STANDARD REFRIGERATION CYCLE WITH A SUBCOOLER. THE FOLLOWING REFRIGERANTS WERE CONSIDERED: R717, R12, R22. THE PACKAGE EVALUATES THE FOLLOWING: ENERGY CONSERVATION FOR THE PLANT COMPONENTS, EXERGY DESTRUCTION FOR EACH PLANT SUBREGION, TOTAL EXERGY DESTRUCTION OF THE ENTIRE SYSTEM, RELATIVE IRREVERSIBILITY AND EFFICIENCY DEFECT OF EACH PLANT COMPONENT, NET AND GROSS RATIONAL EFFICIENCY OF THE PLANT.
