THE NECESSITIES OF COOLING THE INTERIOR OF MINES AND THE RELATED POSSIBLE SYSTEMS ARE PRESENTED AND DESCRIBED IN THE LIGHT OF EXISTING PLANT OF THIS KIND. EUROPE'S LARGEST CENTRAL CHILLING PLANT IN MINING AS WELL AS A SPECIAL EVAPORATOR ARE DESCRIBED IN DETAIL. THIS EVAPORATOR ALLOWS FOREVEN HIGH WATER-FLOW SAFE COOLING OPERATION FOR WATER DOWN TO 273.5 TO 274 K (0. 5 TO 1 DEG C).
