Summary
The first water chillers with a mechanical compressor, which use water as a refrigerant, are running in customer installations. The current development of new cooling technology is a first step. Preliminary results are on the way for the design of further applications. In addition to the chiller with water as refrigerant, a heat pump and a vacuum ice machine will be developed. Effective seawater desalination plants can be built with the aid of the new compressor.
