A study assesses alternative mixtures to two pure hydrocarbon refrigerants

An article reviews more than 11,000 mixtures of refrigerants that could be interesting alternatives to pure R290 and R600a.

An article to be published in the March issue of Results in Engineering studies more than 11,000 refrigerant blends often based on hydrocarbons, that could act as alternatives to R290 and R600a.

This research aimed at highlighting mixtures which would have better coefficients of performance, while being less flammable than these two refrigerants, classified in category A3.
