A CORRELATION OF EXPERIMENTAL EXIT PRESSURES FOR REFRIGERANT FLOW THROUGH A CAPILLARY TUBE EXPANSION DEVICE.
Author(s) : SCHULZ U. W.
Summary
A NEW MODEL IS PRESENTED FOR PREDICTING THE CRITICAL PRESSURE OF A REFRIGERANT FLOW THROUGH AN ADIABATIC CAPILLARY TUBE. EXPERIMENTAL CAPILLARY TUBE EXIT PRESSURES, OBTAINED IN A VAPOUR COMPRESSION LOOP OPERATED WITH R12, R22, AND R114, WERE USED TO DETERMINE THE ANALYTICAL COEFFICIENTS. THE RESULTS ARE BEING APPLIED TO NON-AZEOTROPIC REFRIGERANT MIXTURES TO EVALUATE A POSSIBLE EXTENSION OF THE DEVELOPED MODEL TO OTHER WORKING FLUIDS.
