Summary
A new instrument has been developed for an on-line, real-time measurement of oil circulating rate in refrigeration system utilizing an ultraviolet light absorption reaction of oil. A dual optical path configuration is introduced to the flow cell of this instrument, and it allows the instrument to perform dual beam absorbance measurements which contribute to providing quite stable and precise results. This instrument is used for oil concentration ratio measurements on several refrigeration systems in a transient state.
