Summary
Performance of heat and mass transfer has a significant influence on convalescence, efficiency, cycle time of metal hydride heat pump system. Thus, enhanced heat and mass transfer is necessary to improve systematic performance and to remain system reliability. The enhancement method in the case of metal hydride heat pump system can be approximately classified into two categories: improving the thermal conductivity of metal hydride powder and heat exchanger (metal-hydride bed).
