A STUDY ON ZEOLITE MOLECULAR SIEVE ADSORPTION REFRIGERATION USING EXHAUST HEAT FROM DIESEL ENGINE.

Author(s) : HAN B., ZHU R., WU Y.

Summary

AN ISOTHERMAL ADSORPTION EQUATION OF WATER-ZEOLITE IS GIVEN. IT CAN BE USED TO DESIGN WATER-ZEOLITE ADSORPTION REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS. THE DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN THESE CALCULATIONS AND THE EXPERIMENTAL DATA ARE LESS THAN ABOUT 5%. A WATER-ZEOLITE REFRIGERATION SYSTEM, USING EXHAUST HEAT FROM DIESEL ENGINES IS INTRODUCED. A COMPARISON OF THE SYSTEM IS MADE WITH THE VAPOUR-COMPRESSION SYSTEM AND THE AMMONIA ABSORPTION SYSTEM. SINCE THE ADSORPTION SYSTEM HAS DISTINCTIVE ADVANTAGES, ITS USE IN FISHING BOATS IS SIGNIFICANT.
