Absorption heat pumps for very high temperatures using liquid metals.
Author(s) : LE GOFF P., LIU B. Q., MARBACH G.
Summary
The authors propose using an absorption heat pump in a power plant by installing its separator between the combustion flame (at 1200 deg C) and the evaporator-steam superheater (at 500 deg C). This brings about an increase of 30% in the enthalpic efficiency of the power plant.
