THE SODIUM HYDROXIDE-WATER ABSORPTION HEAT PUMP.

Summary

THE SODIUM HYDROXIDE-WATER SYSTEM IS THE SINGLE COMBINATION ABLE TO PROVIDE THE TEMPERATURE RISE SUFFICIENT TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF CENTRAL HEATING SYSTEMS, WHILE RECOVERING AMBIENT HEAT. THE CALCULATIONS SHOW THAT A HEATING COP OF ABOUT 1.5 IS POSSIBLE, REPRESENTING A SAVING OF ONE THIRD OF ENERGY CONSUMPTION. WATER EVAPORATION AT SUBZERO TEMPERATURES WAS STUDIED AND THE PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED CAN BE SOLVED.
