Summary
The varieties Slankette, S. Contender, Borlet and Ovation gave the highest yields. They showed very good agronomical and technological characteristics for processing. The varieties Val Green, St. Zagorski and Fiolana gave also good results. All varieties studied can be considered suitable for mechanical harvesting. The varieties with flat pods had a lower chlorophyll content, a lighter green pod colour and better eating quality in comparison with varieties with round pods.
