Summary
Illustrates the new warehouse constructed for the Power Logistics food distribution company in Fallingbostel, Germany. The 120 meters long 63 meters wide and 32 meters high building has the capacity for 55,000 pallets. Each of the shelving zones has a different climate zone. The cool storage area is operated year-round at 5 to 8 deg C and 45 to 65% relative humidity. Describes how the diverse temperatures and relative humidities are maintained by six air conditioning installations with an air supply capacity of 750,000 m3/h. Notes the CFC-free ammonia refrigeration plant and widespread application of automatic controls.
