Air flow optimization in refrigerated cabinets.

Summary

The air flow pattern is of extreme importance for the performance of refrigerated display cabinets. The air temperature and humidity distribution depends largely on the quality of the air distribution and air flow pattern. Simulation models of local air velocity, temperature and humidity have been developed using computational fluid dynamics techniques. Computer simulations using these models have been carried out for design optimization of different kinds of cabinets, with good agreement between simulation results and measurements.
