Algorithm for calculation of selected properties of superheated steam of R600a.

Summary

The algorithmic method for computing both temperatures and enthalpies of the steam gas is presented. This method is based on the Berthelot non-ideal gas law as well as on the basic experimental parameters of the isobutane along its saturation boundary. Comparative analysis of the calculated results as against those obtained with the well-known Refprop 7.0 program leads to the conclusion that this algorithmic method can be useful in approximate computation of the Clausius-Rankine cycles.
