AN ACOUSTIC TRANSFER MATRIX MODEL FOR COMPRESSOR AND CONDENSER INTERACTION.

Author(s) : FARSTAD J. E., SINGH R.

Summary

IN THE PAPER, A REALISTIC MODEL FOR THE CONDENSER IS DEVELOPED WHICH ACCOUNTS FOR THE EFFECTS OF SYSTEM THERMAL CONDITIONS. THIS IS DONE BY CONSTRUCTING A TRANSFER MATRIX MODEL OF VARIABLE CROSS-SECTIONAL AREA FROM SOLUTIONS FOR THE STEADY-STATE HEAT TRANSFER IN THE CONDENSER. CONDENSER MODELS FOR 2 DIFFERENT THERMAL CONDITIONS HAVE BEEN CONSTRUCTED AND COMPARED BOTH TO EACH OTHER AND TO THE ANECHOIC CONDENSER MODEL IN TERMS OF DISCHARGE VALVE CHAMBER TO DISCHARGE LINE ACOUSTIC IMPEDANCE.
