Summary
An experimental investigation was performed on the laminar convective heat transfer and pressure drop of water in 13 different trapezoidal silicon microchannels. Relations between the laminar Nusselt number, surface roughness, the hydrophilic properties of silicon, and the Reynolds number, were investigated. Finally, an evaluation of heat flux per pumping power and per temperature difference was given for the microchannels used in this experiment.
