THE AUTHORS EVALUATE THE PERFORMANCES OF AN INDUSTRIAL COMPRESSOR AND OF R717, R12, R22 AND R502 FOR HEAT PUMPS. TO THIS PURPOSE, THEY REPORT THE TEST RESULTS OBTAINED WITH AN INDUSTRIAL TEST PLANT. VOLUMETRIC EFFICIENCY IS EVALUATED AS AN INDEX OF MACHINE PERFORMANCE AND COP AS A PARAMETER OF ENERGY COMPARISON.
