Summary

The article seeks to identify and to evaluate the current situation of the cold chain in the Canary Islands, to establish applicable improvements to the Canaries environment, evaluating its problems and possible solutions for herself, to analyze the situation of the tuna fishing fleet, refrigerating facilities on board ship and on ground, identifying the current deficiences, and suggesting better alternatives for the ideal ship, with good agreement with "the Canaries" reality in mind and a chain of cool storage on board with an infrastructure of refrigerating in the Canary Islands.
