Summary

The performance of refrigerated display cases is evaluated in testing rooms whose design and dimensions can have a significant effect on the operation of the tested equipment. The role of mixed convection and radiation, in particular, is highlighted through theoretical and experimental approaches. Controlling these phenomena should eventually make it possible to obtain perfect reproducibility of tests between different laboratories.
