Analysis of the heat transfer performance of a R-410A fin-tube evaporator in air-conditioning systems.

Author(s) : WANG F., WU Z., WANG Y.

Summary

In order to adapt the requirement on environmental protection and energy saving for small refrigerating units, an R-410A air conditioner matching test unit has been set up with the aim to evaluate the system or the part performance. On the basis data of single tube test on convective boiling heat transfer for pure R-410A, micro-fin tube is employed to enhance heat transfer in this paper. The evaporator's heat transfer coefficients and pressure drops were measured form a given area in smooth and micro-fin tubes with O.D. 9.52 mm. With the heat mode of the heat pump test condition, several experiments from the evaporator's refrigerant side and the air side were carried out to check up the heat exchanger or system performance.
