Summary
A climatic chamber is an environment where it is possible to subject an object for a short time to a particular heating and cooling thermal stress in order to determine its thermal behaviour during its future operative life. The paper presents a mathematical model that makes it possible to study the evolution of the air and refrigerant temperatures at the evaporator outlet as a function of time. A comparison between the analytical and the experimental results shows that the model provides a reasonable estimation of the unsteady state in a climatic chamber. These results are useful: they make it possible to plan and to foresee the climatic chamber performances.
