Summary
The paper aims at solving frosting and low heating efficiency of heat pumps in cold regions, puts forward a twin heat pump heating system that consists of an air-source heat pump and a water-source heat pump. The air-source heat pump supplies 10-20 °C water as low-grade heat source of the water-source heat pump. It analyses the technical and economic features of the system and considers that the system is practicable and that it has energy conservation and environmental protective effects.
