Summary
Antimicrobial substances obtained by methanol fractioning and acetone extraction have a strong antimicrobial effect on Shigella dysenteriae at pH 4.8-5.5. These inhibiting substances were stable after treatment at 100 deg C for 30 minutes and could be kept at 4-5 deg C for more than three months.
