APPLICATION OF THE EXPIMP METHOD TO PHASE CHANGE PROBLEMS IN ORTHOGONAL CURVILINEAR COORDINATES.

Author(s) : BRISSON-LOPES J. M.

Summary

THE NUMERICAL EXPLICIT-IMPLICIT METHOD FOR THE SOLUTION OF PARABOLIC DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS WAS APPLIED TO PROBLEMS OF CHANGE OF PHASE ON MATERIALS OF IRREGULAR SHAPE BY USING ORTHOGONAL CURVILINEAR GRIDS GENERATED AUTOMATICALLY BY A COMPUTER METHOD (ALICE). THE COMBINATION OF THIS WITH THE EXPIMP METHOD REDUCES THE CALCULATION TIME REQUIRED BY SIMULATION OF PROBLEMS OF CHANGES OF PHASE.
