ONE USE OF NATURAL COLD IS THE LOW TEMPERATURE STORAGE OF FOODSTUFFS. SINCE POTATOES ARE ABLE TO ADAPT THEMSELVES TO A COLD ENVIRONMENT THEY TEND TO INCREASE THEIR SUGAR CONTENTS AND THIS PHENOMENON ALSO OCCURS WITH OTHER FOODSTUFFS.
