Augmentation of heat transfer during in-tube condensation from CFC-113/air mixtures using a wire insert.

Summary

Accurate, repeatable heat-transfer and pressure-drop measurements are reported for in-tube condensation of pure CFC-113 and in the presence of air using a twisted wire insert. Substantial heat-transfer enhancement was observed.
