ENHANCEMENT OF IN-TUBE CONDENSATION OF NON-AZEOTROPIC REFRIGERANT MIXTURES WITH A MICRO-FIN TUBE.

Author(s) : KOYAMA S., GAO L., FUJII T.

Summary

CONDENSATION HEAT TRANSFER AND PRESSURE DROP CHARACTERISTICS OF NON-AZEOTROPIC REFRIGERANT MIXTURES OF R22 AND R114 ARE EXPERIMENTALLY INVESTIGATED INSIDE HORIZONTAL SMOOTH AND MICRO-FIN TUBES. IN THE CASE OF THESE MIXTURES, THE DECREASE OF NUSSELT NUMBER DUE TO MASS TRANSFER RESISTANCE IS OBSERVED FOR THE MICRO-FIN TUBE AS WELL AS FOR THE SMOOTH TUBE. THE VAPOR MASS TRANSFER COEFFICIENT OF THE MIXTURES IS EVALUATED. COMPARISON OF FRICTIONAL PRESSURE DROP FOR BOTH TUBES IS ALSO DONE.
