Binary ice: experiences in supermarket cooling.
Binäreis-Anwendungserfhahrungen in der Supermarktkälte.
Author(s) : PAUL J.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The two phase secondary refrigerant binary ice can be used in direct evaporation because the latent melting enthalpy makes possible systems with smaller tube diameters. The advantages on the air side of the heat exchanges of binary ice plants can lead to a lower energy demand than brine circuits or direct evaporation systems. The annual costs of the three systems are nearly equal.
