Type of article: Article

Summary

THE A. STRESSES THE DOUBLE ADVANTAGE OF THIS AUTOGRAFTING, DUE, ON ONE HAND, TO THE QUASI-EXPERIMENTAL MODEL OF CELLULAR KINETICS SO OBTAINED, AND, ON THE OTHER HAND, TO THE THERAPEUTIC HOPES FOR LEUKEMIC PATIENTS, IN COMBINATION WITH HEAVY CHEMIOTHERAPY. HE RECALLS THAT BONE MARROW TAKEN FROM PATIENTS PRIOR TO THE TREATMENT OR IN A FAVOURABLE TIME IS FROZEN IN BAGS AND STORED IN THIS CONDITION, THEN REINJECTED AFTER THAWING, UNDER THE CONDITIONS DESCRIBED IN A PRECEDING PAPER (SEE Bull. IIR, ABSTR. 80-0618). G.G.
