DESCRIPTION OF A FREEZING PROCESS FOR FILTERED BONE MARROW ADDED WITH HEPARINE, IN 100 ML POLYOLEFIN BAGS, ADDED WITH AN EQUAL VOLUME OF THE TC 999 MEDIUM (20% DMSO AND 10% HUMAN SERUM). THE 1 MM THICK BAGS ARE PLACED IN A FREEZER PROGRAMMED FOR OBTAINING A TEMPERATURE DECREASE OF 1 K/MIN TO 183 K (-90 DEG C), THEN STORED IN LIQUID NITROGEN FOR SEVERAL YEARS. THE PAPER REPORTS THE INDICATIONS OF THE AUTOGRAFT OF FROZEN BONE MARROW IN CANCEROLOGY AND IN HEMATOLOGY, WITH BRIEF COMMENTS ON THE INNOCUOUSNESS OF THE PROCESS, MARROW RECOVERY AND SOME PRELIMINARY CLINICAL RESULTS.
