Bubble formation with pool boiling of pure fluids and binary fluid mixtures.
Author(s) : BIER K., SCHMIDT J.
Summary
The process of bubble formation has been investigated by high-speed photography. The bubble growth rate as well as the size distributions of the departure diameter, of the bubble formation time, and of the bubble frequency have been evaluated. The median values of the latter parameters are discussed as functions of the normalized saturation pressure and of the composition of the mixtures. Investigated mixtures are hydrocarbons and refrigerants. Results are given.
