CALCULATING THE THERMAL AND FLOW BEHAVIOUR IS MADE COMPUTER-AI DED. THE HEAT EXCHANGER MODEL FEATURING A CONDENSATION AND RECOOLING SECTION FORMS THE BASIS FOR THE ALGORITHM. WHAT IS CALCULATED ITERATIVELY IS THE VARIABLES OF WATER OUTLET TEMPERATURE, EXCHANGED HEAT FLUX, CONDENSATE OUTLET TEMPERATURE AND CONDENSATE VOLUME FLOW DEPENDING ON THE DESIGN PARAMETERS OF THE EXCHANGER ELEMENTS AND THE NEST OF TUBES, ON THE CONDENSATE ACCUMULATION LEVEL AND THE THERMAL/HYDRODYNAMIC PARAMETERS. THE CONDENSATE ACCUMULATION LEVEL GREATLY AFFECTS THE TOTAL HEAT FLUX THAT IS LARGELY EXCHANGED IN THE CONDENSATION SECTION. THE PROPORTION OF THE RECOOLING SECTION IS ONLY SOME 5-10% OF THE TOTAL HEAT CAPACITY.
