AMMONIA IS NOW BEING REEVALUATED AS A MOST APPROPRIATE REFRIGE RANT, TAKING THE ADVANTAGES IN COSTS AND COMPRESSION COEFFICIENCY INTO CONSIDERATION. AS A RESULT, CONVENTIONAL HERMETIC COMPRESSORS ARE NOW REQUIRED TO UNDERGO FURTHER RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IN ORDER TO ADAPT TO THE CHANGE IN REFRIGERANTS. THIS PAPER PRESENTS THE AUTHOR'S RESEARCH-AND-DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES ON HIGH-EFFICIENCY AND HIGH-QUALITY SINGLE-CASING CANNED MOTOR BUILT-IN MACHINERY.
