Summary

In the current study, a new system that using a scroll compressor with two vapor injection holes named as “multi-vapor injection system” was provided. The thermodynamic model to analyze the system has been set up and the calculation program is designed. The two suitable middle pressures were calculated, and the recommended empirical formulas are provided for calculate two stage middle pressure. Based on one scroll compressor, the method of how to make injection hole was developed. The calculation results demonstrate that, at standard operating conditions, the cooling capacity of new system with multi-vapor injection can be about 3.8% and 15.4% higher and the cooling COP can be about 2.8% and 12.4% higher compared with that of the one hole vapor injection system and normal single stage system, the discharge temperature can decrease 3°C~4°C under heating condition.
