Author(s) : ERRAUD L.
Type of article: Article
Summary
In the food industry, the classification "microbiologically controlled room" specifies that suspended particles per cubic metre of ambient air must be within a range of 1000 to 100,000 (the maximum number of suspended particles of a given size in a given volume unit of ambient air). Filters and air circulation must be adjusted to achieve 400 room volumes/hour or more, and the internal lining must withstand this process.
