CO2 as refrigerant within commercial refrigeration. Theoretical consideration and experimental results.
Author(s) : NEKSÅ P., GIROTTO S.
Summary
In the paper, systems based on CO2 are discussed and compared with R404A systems. Results of tests are presented and field-test installations are described. The system efficiency is somewhat lower than or equal to state-of-the-art R404A systems for medium-temperature applications, and somewhat higher in low-temperature applications. The efficiency level can be improved. Economic aspects are also discussed.
