Summary

PROCESSING FROM THE THERMODYNAMIC FUNDAMENTALS, A DESCRIPTION IS GIVEN OF THE POSSIBILITY OF DETERMINING OPTIMUM POWER SAVING APPLICATIONS FOR THE HEAT PUMP IN GENERAL. THE RESULT OF THE STUDIES MADE IN THE PRODUCTION OF ICE WATER AND STORE ROOM COOLING ARE EXPLAINED BY CONSIDERING THE COST OF A PRACTICAL EXAMPLE. THE RATIONAL USE OF THE HEAT PUMP IS ALSO DEMONSTRATED BY THE HOT WATER SUPPLY ON DAIRY CATTLE FARMS.
