Summary
Valencia oranges were stored for 60 or 84 days in air at 0.5, 3 or 7 °C or in controlled atmosphere storage (air + 5% CO2 or 10% O2 + 5% CO2) at 3 °C. Some of the fruits stored at 3 °C were dipped in 0.15% iprodione or 2% detergent prior to storage. After 60 and 84 days, storage, titratable acidity and total soluble solids, weight loss, and percentage decay were measured.
