Summary
Nine temperature regimes for each of 2 cultivars, Fuerte and Hass, grown in the Natal Midlands were tested throughout the 1993 harvesting season (19 May-14 July for Fuerte, 21 July-13 Oct. for Hass). Fruits were harvested at weekly intervals and held in storage for 3, 4 or 5 weeks. They were then assessed for firmness and held at 20 deg C to ripen before quality ratings were made. Results are given.
