Summary

The relationships between management criteria and project parameters are pointed out. The following management criteria are discussed from the point of view of computer-controlled operations: handling of controlled-temperature rooms, automatic temperature control, the running of the refrigerating equipment and the monitoring of breakdowns. The problems in managing temperature-controlled areas, both for food processing for the retail market and for the movement of stored food are discussed. Some suggestions for correct cold store management are given. A.P.
