THE SEARCH FOR NEW WORKING FLUID COMBINATIONS FOR SORPTION REFRIGERATING MACHINES AND HEAT PUMPS CAN BE CONSIDERABLY SIMPLIFIED WITH APPROPRIATE STATE EQUATIONS BY PRECALCULATING THE MIXTURE'S PROPERTIES. FOLLOWING THE CHOICE OF SUITABLE HALOGENATED REFRIGERANTS AND ORGANIC SOLVENTS, THE MIXTURE'S PROPERTIES OF THE R22/NMC (N-METHYL-CAPROLACTAM) AND R142B/NMC FLUID SYSTEMS WERE CACLTB E LEE, KESLER AND PLOCKER. THESE PROPERTIES PERMIT INITIAL CONSIDERATIONS OVER THE APPLICABILITY OF THESE FLUID SYSTEMS TO SORPTION MACHINERY.
