Summary
DTI (Danish Technological Institute) Energy is in co-operation with the Danish refrigerator manufacturers Vestfrost and Caravell developing new types of bottle coolers and ice cream cabinets with a new type of compressor for isobutane. The project is being financially supported by the Danish Energy Agency. The compressor produced by Danfoss has variable speed, reducing energy consumption of the appliances. 50 bottle coolers and 50 ice cream cabinets will be installed and tested in field test and compared with conventional units.
