Summary
One of the most recent discoveries is the coolant R723 developed by the 'Institut für Kälte- und Klimatechnik' in Dresden. As this coolant is particularly suitable for use in the air conditioning sector, Messrs. Combitherm tested it as a drop-in coolant with a water chiller. The cooling agent R22 served as a benchmark in this investigation and R1270 was used as another reference coolant.
